For ArcelorMittal M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e, this involves facilitating the production of renewable energy by making available part of its industrial land.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_3237\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-3237\" style=\"width: 300px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-3237 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.france.edf-powersolutions.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/CP_Fossette_FR.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-3237\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">La Fossette photovoltaic power plant 12 MWp<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Located in the Bouches-du-Rh\u00f4ne department, the La Fossette solar power plant was developed and built by EDF Energies Nouvelles, within the Fos-sur-Mer industrial-port complex, on ArcelorMittal land. The steelmaker, owner of 1,600 hectares, makes 15 hectares available to EDF Energies Nouvelles.<\/p>\n<p>Equipped with more than 45,000 photovoltaic panels, the plant, which has a capacity of 12 MWp, produces the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 7,400 inhabitants, or half of the town of Fos-sur-Mer.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The project mobilized up to 40 people on site for 10 months.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>With this project, EDF Energies Nouvelles is strengthening its presence in France in renewable energies.
