{"id":3212,"date":"2017-09-27T15:03:28","date_gmt":"2017-09-27T13:03:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.france.edf-powersolutions.com\/?p=3212"},"modified":"2024-01-04T17:31:48","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T16:31:48","slug":"mairie-de-montsinery-tonnegrande-accueille-nouveau-projet-denergie-solaire-stockage-porte-edf-energies-nouvelles","status":"publish","type":"communiques","link":"https:\/\/france.edf-powersolutions.com\/en\/communiques\/mairie-de-montsinery-tonnegrande-accueille-nouveau-projet-denergie-solaire-stockage-porte-edf-energies-nouvelles\/","title":{"rendered":"Montsinery-Tonnegrande Town Hall welcomes a new solar energy project with storage supported by EDF Energies Nouvelles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"DefaultCxSpFirst\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: #005bbb; letter-spacing: -.1pt;\">EDF Energies Nouvelles confirms its project to extend the Toucan solar power plant with storage, co-built with the Montsinery-Tonnegrande Town Hall.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: #005bbb; letter-spacing: -.1pt;\">This project, with an installed capacity of 5 MWp, was selected in August 2017 as part of the CRE II call for tenders, which concerned the construction and operation of photovoltaic installations with a power greater than 100 kWp with storage device, located in non-interconnected zones (ZNI).<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"color: #005bbb; font-size: 11pt; letter-spacing: -0.1pt;\">When it is commissioned in the second half of 2018, the installation will have a total installed capacity of 10 MWp.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt; color: #005bbb; letter-spacing: -.1pt;\">This project contributes to the EDF Group&#039;s CAP 2030 strategy, which aims in particular to double its renewable capacities by 2030.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Also located in the town of Montsin\u00e9ry-Tonn\u00e9grande, the Toucan 2 photovoltaic project complements the Toucan solar power plant with battery storage, in operation since 2015.<\/p>\n<p>Made up of more than a hundred thousand solar panels, the future Toucan 2 power plant will be equipped with a remote control system for electrical equipment, developed by EDF Store &amp; Forecast and EDF Energies Nouvelles.<\/p>\n<p>When it is commissioned, the production of this installation will be equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of more than 8,000 Guyanese households.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cThe realization of this new renewable energy project in our town, designated \u201cPositive energy territory for green growth in the making\u201d in 2016, confirms the commitment of Montsin\u00e9ry-Tonn\u00e9grande to continue its efforts to support the deployment of the transition energy on its territory&quot;, <\/em>declared Patrick Lecante, Mayor of the town of Montsinery-Tonnegrande.<\/p>\n<p><em>\u201cBuilding on its first achievement in 2015, EDF Energies Nouvelles is proud to carry out this new photovoltaic power plant project alongside the Montsinery-Tonnegrande Town Hall.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Toucan 2 will be a vector of growth for the local economy.
