EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the acquisition of Spinning Spur 3, a 194 MW wind farm project to be built in Texas (Panhandle), its 6th in this state. Spinning Spur 3: EDF Energies Nouvelles\u2019 6th wind farm in Texas<\/strong><\/p>\n

Located in Oldham County in northern Texas, the Spinning Spur 3 project was initially developed by Cielo Wind Power LP. The commissioning of the 194 MW wind project is expected by the end of 2015.<\/p>\n

The expected green electricity production will be supplied to two municipal entities under a 20-year purchase contract.<\/p>\n

The future Spinning Spur 3 wind farm will benefit from new ERCOT (Electricity Reliability Council of Texas) connection lines planned to connect wind energy production from \u201ccompetitive renewable energy production zones\u201d to areas with high energy consumption. state electricity.<\/p>\n

\u2013 In 2013, Spinning Spur 3 is the 4th wind project, after Spinning Spur 2, Hereford and Longhorn with a total of 755 MW of installed capacity, to have been launched before the end of 2013 and can thus benefit from a tax credit (Production Tax Credit) allocated to installations of this type.<\/p>\n
