As such, he joins the EDF Energies Nouvelles management committee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"detail-content\">\n<p>Within EDF Energies Nouvelles, which carries out more than 80% of its international activities with a presence in 18 countries, Carmelo Scalone is responsible for <strong>main missions<\/strong> of :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>deploy the <strong>international development strategy<\/strong> of the company and its presence in new geographical areas, in new or existing sectors;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>pilot the <strong>partnerships and subsidiaries in new countries<\/strong> at the start of their activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Since 2007, <strong>Carmelo Scalone<\/strong> held the position of Director of Development within the renewable subsidiary of the Portuguese energy company EDP.<\/p>\n<p>A graduate of IESE Business School in Barcelona and Bocconi University in Milan, this electrical engineer has held various responsibilities in management positions in Italy, Spain and Sweden both in the renewable energy industry and within of international energy groups.<\/p>\n<p>For\u00a0<strong>Antoine Cahuzac<\/strong>, Managing Director of EDF Energies Nouvelles: <em>\u201cCarmelo Scalone&#039;s in-depth knowledge of the renewable energy sector as well as his developer skills acquired through an international career are solid assets to continue the dynamic of deployment of EDF Energies Nouvelles in high-potential countries.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Carmelo Scalone<\/strong> joins the management committee which, for the record, is made up of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Jean Louis<\/strong> <strong>Mathias<\/strong>, Chairman of the Board of Directors<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Antoine Cahuzac<\/strong>, General manager<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Yvon Andr\u00e9<\/strong>, Deputy Managing Director \u2013 France<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>B\u00e9n\u00e9dicte Gendry<\/strong>, General Secretary, Group Legal Director<\/li>\n<li><strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Nathalie Guyot<\/strong>, Director of human resources<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Emmanuel Jaclot<\/strong>, Executive Director \u2013 M&amp;A Strategy and Asset Sales<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Laurence June<\/strong>, Deputy Managing Director Europe<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Olivier Paquier<\/strong>, Deputy Managing Director \u2013 Distributed Energies<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Denis Rouhier<\/strong>, Group Financial Director<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <strong>Jean-Philippe Salom\u00e9<\/strong>, Industry Director<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"d-about\"><strong>About EDF Energies Nouvelles<\/strong>EDF Energies Nouvelles is an international leader in renewable electricity with an installed capacity of more than 9 GW gross worldwide.
