EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning of its first 30 MWp solar power plant in India in the state of Madhya Pradesh, as well as the development in Rajasthan of five additional solar projects with a total capacity of 120 MWp, won as part of of a call for tenders launched by the Indian government.
\nDevelopment in the photovoltaic market in India is led by the company ACME Solar Energy Private Limited, of which EDF Energies Nouvelles is a 25% shareholder.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions its first solar power plant in central India<\/b><\/p>\n

Located in the state of Madhya Pradesh, the Khilchipur solar power plant (30 MWp1<\/sup> of installed power) represents the first \u201cgreen\u201d energy installation in the country for EDF Energies Nouvelles.<\/p>\n

Established in India since December 2013, EDF Energies Nouvelles has joined forces with two other partners, ACME Cleantech Solutions Limited, a renowned Indian player in new energies which brings its local expertise, and EREN, the first group dedicated to natural resource savings, to create ACME Solar Energy Private Limited.<\/p>\n

Five new photovoltaic projects won in Rajasthan<\/b><\/p>\n

In one of the sunniest states in northwest India, five solar power plant projects with a total budget of 120 MWp2<\/sup> were awarded to ACME Solar Energy Private Limited under the government tender Solar Energy Corporation of India<\/i>. Their respective commissioning is planned during 2015.<\/p>\n

India represents strong development potential for solar with a target of 26.4 GWp3<\/sup> capacity by 2022.<\/p>\n
