{"id":17477,"date":"2016-04-26T15:45:16","date_gmt":"2016-04-26T13:45:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.france.edf-powersolutions.com\/edf-energies-nouvelles-agrandit-deux-parcs-eoliens-portugal\/"},"modified":"2024-01-04T17:32:45","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T16:32:45","slug":"edf-energies-nouvelles-agrandit-deux-parcs-eoliens-portugal-2","status":"publish","type":"communiques","link":"https:\/\/france.edf-powersolutions.com\/en\/communiques\/edf-energies-nouvelles-agrandit-deux-parcs-eoliens-portugal-2\/","title":{"rendered":"EDF Energies Nouvelles extends two wind farms in Portugal"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"blue\">\n<div class=\"blue\">\n<div class=\"detail-res\">\n<div class=\"detail-entry\">\n<div class=\"dexc\">\n<p>EDF Energies Nouvelles is announcing the commissioning of extensions to the Ventominho (additional 23 MW) and Arga (additional 4.7 MW) wind farms, two of its assets in Portugal.<br \/>\nThe additional 27.7 MW in capacity will raise the company&#039;s total gross installed capacity in the country to 535 MW.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"detail-content\">\n<p>Originally commissioned respectively in 2008 and 2006, Ventominho and Arga wind farms are located in north-western Portugal, close to the Spanish border.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Ventominho wind farm<\/strong> gets 10 turbines more on the top of the 120 already existing, raising its capacity from 240 MW to 263 MW.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Arga wind farm <\/strong>gets two turbines more on the top of the 12 already existing, raising its capacity from 36 MW to 40.7 MW.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The annual output from these two wind farms is equivalent to the electricity consumption of close to 245,000 Portuguese households.<\/p>\n<p>These wind energy projects are jointly owned by EDF Energies Nouvelles, Eolverde and DST.<\/p>\n<p>To date, EDF Energies Nouvelles operates 535 MW of gross wind energy capacity in Portugal via its local subsidiary EDF EN Portugal.<\/p>\n<div class=\"d-about\"><strong>About EDF Energies Nouvelles<\/strong>EDF Energies Nouvelles is a market leader in renewable energy electricity, with a portfolio of more than 9 GW gross installed capacity focused for the most part on wind (onshore and offshore) and solar photovoltaic energy.
