{"id":17429,"date":"2015-11-26T13:57:08","date_gmt":"2015-11-26T12:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.france.edf-powersolutions.com\/?p=1036\/"},"modified":"2024-01-04T17:33:14","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T16:33:14","slug":"edf-energies-nouvelles-commissions-riviere-moulin-its-largest-wind-farm-350-mw","status":"publish","type":"communiques","link":"https:\/\/france.edf-powersolutions.com\/en\/communiques\/edf-energies-nouvelles-commissions-riviere-moulin-its-largest-wind-farm-350-mw\/","title":{"rendered":"EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin, its largest wind farm (350 MW)"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"blue\">\n<div class=\"detail-res\">\n<div class=\"detail-entry\">\n<div class=\"dexc\">\n<p>EDF Energies Nouvelles has commissioned the second 200 MW phase of the Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin wind farm in Quebec, completing its largest wind farm.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"detail-content\">\n<p>Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin has a total capacity of 350 MW and the entire facility was developed, built and commissioned by EDF EN Canada, the group&#039;s local subsidiary.<\/p>\n<p>The second phase of the Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin wind farm has 200 MW in capacity and consists of 100 turbines.<\/p>\n<p>The first 150 MW tranche is operational since the end of 2014. Its total installed capacity is now 350 MW, making Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin EDF Energies Nouvelles&#039; largest wind farm in the world.<\/p>\n<p>The power generated at the Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin wind farm is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of around 70,700 Canadian homes.<\/p>\n<p>All the output of Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin is being purchased by Hydro-Qu\u00e9bec Distribution under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement. This means that Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin is also the largest wind farm in Canada to have been commissioned under a single Power Purchase Agreement.<\/p>\n<p>The facility&#039;s operations and maintenance will be provided by EDF Renewable Services, EDF Energies Nouvelles&#039; North American subsidiary dedicated to this segment.<\/p>\n<p>Rivi\u00e8re-du-Moulin, developed and built by EDF EN Canada, is one of seven wind-farm projects forming part of a 1-gigawatt program won by the group through the Hydro-Quebec Distribution calls for tenders.<\/p>\n<div class=\"d-about\"><strong>About EDF Energies Nouvelles<\/strong>EDF Energies Nouvelles is a market leader in renewable energy electricity, with a portfolio of more than 9 GW gross installed capacity focused for the most part on wind (onshore and offshore) and solar photovoltaic energy.
