{"id":10405,"date":"2020-12-01T14:28:36","date_gmt":"2020-12-01T13:28:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.france.edf-powersolutions.com\/?p=10405"},"modified":"2024-01-04T17:28:09","modified_gmt":"2024-01-04T16:28:09","slug":"edf-renouvelables-remporte-plus-de-40-mw-de-projets-solaires-au-sol-en-auvergne-rhone-alpes","status":"publish","type":"communiques","link":"https:\/\/france.edf-powersolutions.com\/en\/communiques\/edf-renouvelables-remporte-plus-de-40-mw-de-projets-solaires-au-sol-en-auvergne-rhone-alpes\/","title":{"rendered":"EDF Renewables wins more than 40 MW of ground-mounted solar projects in Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>Paris, December 1, 2020 \u2013<\/strong> EDF Renewables and its subsidiary LUXEL won four ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant projects in the Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes region, during the last solar call for tenders (known as the \u201cCRE 4.8 call for tenders\u201d) at the end of October. These projects are located in the departments of Allier, Ain and Haute-Loire. Developed in close consultation with local elected officials, land owners and local stakeholders, these solar power plants will see their construction sites begin by the end of 2021.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Presentation of the four solar projects to be built and operated in the region:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Quinssaines (Allier) 30 MW<\/strong><br \/>\nLocated mainly on industrial, private and public land, covering approximately 34 hectares, partly belonging to the municipality of Quinssaines, the future photovoltaic power plant with a power of 30 MW will be made up of more than 60,000 panels. It will produce the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of nearly 14,000 inhabitants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Neuville-sur-Ain (Ain) 4.4 MW<\/strong><br \/>\nLocated on 4.95 hectares, this new solar project will make it possible to revalorize a wasteland located on a former military camp at a place called \u201cLe Camp\u201d, on land owned by the municipality and several residents of Neuville-sur-Ain. Made up of nearly 9,900 solar panels for an installed capacity of 4.4 MW, this solar power plant will produce the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 2,200 inhabitants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Mazet-Saint-Voy (Haute-Loire) 2.9 MW<\/strong><br \/>\nThe future photovoltaic power plant will be located in a former quarry, on land belonging to the commune of Mazet-Saint-Voy and will be made up of nearly 6,400 photovoltaic panels. With an installed capacity of 2.9 MW, the installation will produce the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 1,450 inhabitants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sainte-Julie (Ain) 2.8 MW<\/strong><br \/>\nThis solar park will be installed on a former household waste dump, on land owned by the Community of Communes of the Plaine de l&#039;Ain. It will include approximately 5,570 solar panels which will produce the equivalent of the annual electricity consumption of 1,300 residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>With these four new photovoltaic projects, EDF Renewables now has 18 wind and solar projects to be built in 2020\/2021, in seven departments of Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes. These projects, with a total capacity of around 120 MW, represent an investment of more than \u20ac100 million.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, for the construction of three photovoltaic power plants in Ain, EDF Renewables has just successfully finalized the collection of crowdfunding of \u20ac300,000 from citizens. Three other solar project financing operations for a total amount of \u20ac500,000 will soon be launched in Ard\u00e8che, Puy-de-D\u00f4me and Haute-Loire.<\/p>\n<p>Julien Gar\u00e7on, Managing Director of LUXEL specifies: <em>\u201cThese four new solar projects installed on unexploited or degraded land will generate enough electricity to meet the needs of a city like Moulins. In addition to the tax benefits during the operation phase for communities, the construction of the projects will involve nearly a dozen companies and more than 70 people will be needed for their completion. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Francis Audigier, Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes regional manager of EDF Renewables, declared: <em>\u201cWe are very pleased to have won four new ground-mounted solar projects in the region. These new successes reinforce EDF Renewables&#039; position as a major player in the sector in the region and confirm EDF Renewables&#039; full mobilization on two essential issues: energy transition and economic recovery. To do this, we work hand in hand with the territories to create projects shared with as many people as possible. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In France, a total of 12 ground-mounted photovoltaic power plant projects were won during the CRE 4.8 call for tenders. With a total capacity of 105 MW, these projects are located in Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes, Bourgogne-Franche-Comt\u00e9, Centre-Val de Loire, Grand Est, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Pays de la Loire.<\/p>\n<p>EDF ENR, the group&#039;s subsidiary dedicated to rooftop solar projects, for its part won 2.8 MW in Auvergne-Rh\u00f4ne-Alpes. EDF Renewables is thus participating in the progress of the EDF group&#039;s Solar Plan. This Plan aims to make EDF one of the solar leaders in France with 30% market share by 2035.
