EDF Energies Nouvelles extends its operation and maintenance activity to Belgium

With the creation of EDF EN Services Belgium, EDF Energies Nouvelles deploys, via its dedicated subsidiary EDF EN Services, its operation-maintenance (O&M) activities for renewable energy installations in Belgium.
Co-owned by EDF Luminus, an EDF Group company in Belgium, the new joint subsidiary offers management services for wind farms and solar power plants on Belgian territory, on behalf of EDF Luminus and third-party owner-operators.

EDF EN Services Belgium and its first local branch are based near Liège.

Its maintenance technicians and engineers are responsible for working locally on onshore wind farms and solar power plants belonging to various owners including EDF Luminus which currently holds more than 10 % of Belgian renewable energy production capacity.

In order to ensure optimal service, the renewable installations managed by EDF EN Services Belgium will be managed and optimized by the EDF EN Services European Operation and Supervision Center, which allows 24-hour monitoring of the operation of the installations.

After France, Greece, the United Kingdom, Germany, Poland and Italy, EDF EN Services, a major player in O&M services for renewable assets, is continuing its development in Europe in Belgium.

At the end of 2014, EDF EN Services provided O&M management for nearly 2.4 GW of renewable energy installations in Europe.
