EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning in Scotland by EDF Energy Renewables of the Fallago Rig wind farm, one of the largest onshore wind farms built to date in the United Kingdom with a capacity of 144 MW.
Located on the Lammermuir Hills in the Scottish Borders region, it is equipped with 48 turbines with a unit capacity of 3 MW, manufactured by Vestas. The annual production of this park is equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 90,000 homes.
The Fallago Rig wind farm was developed and built by EDF Energy Renewables, a British subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles owned equally with EDF Energy.
