EDF Energies Nouvelles acquires a wind project with a potential of 300 MW in the state of New Mexico

EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the acquisition of Roosevelt, a wind farm project with a potential of 300 MW in the United States. The Roosevelt park represents the first project of EDF Renewable Energy, the American subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, in the state of New Mexico.

Located in Roosevelt County in eastern New Mexico, the eponymous wind farm project brings to the local subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles a new dimension to its activities in the state, where operation and maintenance services have been delivered since 2004. The Roosevelt project is strategic due to its geographical location since it is located near two operating parks and four projects in the State of Texas.

The future Roosevelt wind farm initially developed by Infinity Wind Power is scheduled to be commissioned in December 2015.

The electricity generated by the first tranche of 250 MW will be sold at a fixed price for the first 20 years of production.
