Investment capitalizes on accelerating growth in the solar market for commercial and industrial customers
EDF Renewables North America, subsidiary ofEDF Renewables, major player in the renewable energy sector, and EnterSolar, a leading provider of solutions for decentralized solar energy production to commercial and industrial (C&I) customers, today announced the conclusion of a strategic partnership involving the entry of up to 50 %, from EDF Renewables into capital of EnterSolar. Together, the two companies will offer C&I customers the most comprehensive range of “behind the meter” decentralized power generation solutions.
This partnership builds on EDF Renewables' experience in renewable energy, storage and decentralized solar solutions for C&I customers internationally, as well as EnterSolar's solid 12-year track record in developing photovoltaic solar energy projects for a wide range of businesses. As part of the agreement, EDF Renewables provides EnterSolar with the capital necessary for its growth as well as additional project financing capabilities.
The partnership will enable both companies to capitalize on the strong growth in demand for distributed generation solutions from the C&I sector.
