EDF Energies Nouvelles commissions its first wind farm in Poland

Continuing its development in Europe, EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning of the Linowo wind farm, in Poland, with an installed capacity of 48 MW.

Located in northern Poland, in the Grudziadz region, the Linowo wind farm is equipped with twenty-four turbines supplied by the manufacturer Vestas.

EDF Energies Nouvelles acquired this project under construction last July, through its new subsidiary EDF EN Polska.

Poland, which offers good wind conditions, also has a regulatory environment favorable to the development of renewable energies and has set itself the objective of developing 6 GW of wind capacity by 2020. This first commissioning illustrates the desire of EDF Energies Nouvelles to develop its wind power activities in this country with strong potential and to become a key player there.
