Continuing the deployment of its solar activity in the United States, EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning of the Lepomis and Lancaster power plants by its local subsidiary, EDF Renewable Energy. They have a total installed capacity of nearly 12 MWp.
The Lancaster solar power plant, located 80 km from Boston, is made up of 19,000 photovoltaic panels for 5.86 MWp of installed power. The town of Billerica benefits from the electricity produced under a long-term sales contract.
The Lepomis solar power plant near Plymouth has a total of 20,000 modules with a capacity of 5.99 MWp. The electricity generated supplies the town of Wareham under another long-term sales contract.
EDF Renewable Services, the American subsidiary of the EDF Energies Nouvelles group, ensures the operation and maintenance of these two solar power plants.
These projects show the ambitions in solar energy of the EDF Energies Nouvelles group with 350 MWp of projects developed in North America.
