Continuing its development in the United Kingdom, EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning of the Corriemoillie (47.5 MW), Beck Burn (31 MW) and Pearie Law (19.2 MW) wind farms, by its local subsidiary EDF Energy Renewables, in joint venture with EDF Energy.
These new parks, in a strategic country of the EDF Group, contribute to the CAP 2030 corporate objective of doubling its share of renewable energy by 2030.
Based in Scotland, Corriemoillie wind farms And by Pearie Law are located in the Highlands and West Lothian regions respectively.
- With 17 turbines, Corriemoillie (47.5 MW) provides electricity to the equivalent of 28,900 Scottish homes each year.
- Pearie Law (19.2 MW) is made up of six turbines. The electricity production of this wind farm is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of 11,600 local homes.
Close to the Scottish border in the north-east of England, THE Beck Burn wind farm is located in the county of Cumbria.
- Beck Burn (31 MW) is made up of nine turbines. The installation produces electricity to meet the annual needs of 18,800 English households.
To date, EDF Energy Renewables has almost 700 MW of installed wind capacity in the United Kingdom, including 62 MW of offshore wind.
