EDF Energies Nouvelles announces the commissioning in the United States of the Milo wind farm of nearly 50 MW, by its North American subsidiary EDF Renewable Energy.
The Milo wind farm is located in Roosevelt County, eastern New Mexico, near the Roosevelt wind power plant (250 MW) that EDF Renewable Energy has just commissioned.
With an installed capacity of 49.65 MW, Milo consists of 25 turbines.
Its production is equivalent to the annual electricity consumption of approximately 27,400 homes in New Mexico.
The electricity generated by this new facility is sold on the open market to the regional grid operator, Southwest Power Pool.
To date in the United States, the subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles, EDF Renewable Energy, has put into service for its own account and on behalf of third parties, 6.7 gigawatts (GW) gross of installed capacity.
